The rapid advancement of technology has led to an explosion of electronic waste (e-waste), posing significant risks to our health and the environment. The improper disposal of e-waste has become a major concern, as it releases toxic chemicals into our ecosystem, contaminating soil, water, and air. This article highlights the devastating effects of improper e-waste disposal and the importance of responsible electronics management.

E-waste contains a cocktail of toxic chemicals, including lead, mercury, cadmium, and chromium. These substances are hazardous to human health and the environment, even in small quantities. When e-waste is disposed of improperly, these toxins leach into the soil, water, and air, causing irreparable harm.

HEALTH IMPACTS:

Exposure to e-waste toxins can lead to a range of health problems, including;

• Cancer

• Neurological damage

• Respiratory problems

• Kidney and liver damage

• Immune system suppression

• Endocrine disruptions.
